Maxi-cure problem
« on: April 18, 2016, 10:13:22 AM »
I have a big old M&R maxi-cure 6 element electric dryer that I'm trying to run low and slow with water base ink. The problem I am having with it is that 5 of the 6 elements cycle on and off as normal but the last element does not cycle it just stays on and is at least twice as hot as the other elements. So we get a nice even temp all the way through until the end were the temp has a big spike to scorch the shirts. If any one can tell me how to fix the last element to cycle with the rest I would be very grateful.
Thank you
 Dennis

I would pull the fuse for that one as a temporary fix.  It sounds though like your relays aren't working.

The best option...dump it and go gas.  We had one of those and frankly that oven is a nightmare.  It's old tech.  Gas is much cheaper to run and would save you a ton of money every month...even if you go propane and get a tank.

Also, we haven't scorched a shirt since going gas.
