Epson 4880 - Clogged Head - HELP!

Our 4880 seems to have a seriously un-cloggable clog.  We have tried all of the usual methods of fixing the issue:  Windex (w/ammonia) soaked paper towel under the print head for 5 hours, Power Clean, Head Clean). 

I am posting a picture of our current print/situation.  Can anyone suggest another solution.

We are using:
-  Epson 4880
-  All Black Ink
-  Printing on 6 heads
-  Accurip Black Pearl

Turn off printing on the clogged head and move on. If you can't do that go back to single channel printing and specify a head that is not clogged.

We print out of our yellow slot!

We just went through a similar situation on our 4800.

First check that each cartridge has enough ink and re-prime them (assuming they are refillables) using the syringe the run a power clean or 2.

There are some good videos on youtube on removing the head and injecting cleaning solution through each one until clear. That was going to be our next step but we stumbled upon a great used 4880 and never tried it.

Our 3800 ran out of ink yesterday when no one was watching, couldn't get the damn thing cleaned, so, printed a nozzle check, found our Light Magenta was fine, switched to that in the software and went back to work. Yes, you only print from one channel, you don't need all six...

Okay, we were able to solve our last issue and now we have a new one!

Every single day, never fails, we must let the print head sit over a Windex-soaked paper towel for 15 or so minutes before ANYTHING will print.  The print head seems to be clogged just on the surface.  Once I soak the print heads for those 15 minutes, all is well.

Did I manage to turn something off that wipes the heads every so often to keep them open, or caps the heads so they can't dry out?

Check capping station, if it make a good seal or not.

Depending how old is your printer, you may have to change dampers.

4880 head are very easy to unclog, but if not done well can easily give you nasty error code.
