What ink brand are you using, and why? Not your white ink, but your every day normal colors.

Mostly Union, simply because that's what I started with way back when. Between their Ultra Soft and Maxopake, most of my bases were covered. I eventually added their Mixopake system with the added benefit of having formulas for the stock Union colors.
International Coatings inks are available locally and have found their way onto the shelves as well in a few colors
Actually, a few years back, Union only offered an extremely dark navy and that was my first IC alternative specifically by choice.

Mostly Wilflex for  colours, Years ago had a terrible time with ink pickup on screens we were sold on the promise of less which turned out true. Also there is a supplier 5 miles away that has made it very convenient .
We have also started using Rutland lately mostly white but also some standard colour

We are big fans of the QCM XOLB series.  They seem to print manually very well and the coverage is excellent when printing on black and dark shirts.  Price is right as well which always helps.

Wilflex PC system for colors

started using them because their starter kit was low cost and they offered the greatest range of 'base' options.

we've also been very happy with their IMS system... while we really don't use the color recycling feature, it's cool to know it's there.

since then we will continue to only use them due to the awesome support we've gotten from Steve and his crew at Wilflex.

We started out using Union Inks, although we have tried other brands but came right back to union inks, and we think here that Union colors are pretty much a good match for the art we produce and can blend the inks for secondary colors...

Wilflex Epic series mostly, I tried using others, but always come back here.  Good opacity and good wet on wet properties.

Wilflex PC's.  Next Gen Base and White.  Soon Next Gen Black.  Magic Extender. Xenon.  The Next Gen is the shidizzle.  Unreal mileage and opacity.

I ordered a gallon of the white, black, and magic the other day to give them a try.

Is the base made to use with mixing systems?

Yeah you can use your choice of pigments with the nexgen base. That's what we are doing here - international pigments from ryonet w/ nexgen base

I took over my shop and it had a wild mix of Sericol, Rutland M3 and Wilflex Epic Mx series. I found all have worked pretty well in comparison to each other but chose to go with Wilflex moving forward when needing to restock on colours.

Plastisol: Wilflex P.C, I want to move to Rutland H.O because of opacity, but the supplier does not have all the colours for mixing.

Water Base: Matsui because that is the only supplier that has full support of all their inks.

Water base (mix my own for low end stuff): We buy emulsifiers, binders and mineral spirit to make our own because works out to be around $0.10 per kg because water cost almost nothing when pumped out of the ground.

Wilflex P.C system with amazing base. Loving the fact that it`s super easy to mix any amount of any pantone color needed.
Standard white- Wilflex amazing bright white

There will be some big news in the next few weeks from PolyOne Wilflex on the release of a new Opaque Color Matching System.  The Nazdar SourceOne Team is pushing hard to have something to show folks at next months ISS Atlantic City show.

Recently in the past year we have been using Total Ink Solutions for some of our opaque colors and some low cure poly inks.  They have a full range of options and have been really helpful, plus they are only a 1 day ship to us.
Otherwise, we really like Union Ultra Soft for wet on wet printing and also has a very soft hand.
We also use International Coatings as well for their Navy and for some of their Opaque colors (and their White ink 711).
