Film Printing Issues
« on: January 27, 2016, 01:54:01 PM »
Epson 4900,  Accurip

Outputting from Illustrator I'm getting a thin line down one side of every piece of film.  Appears to always be where the edge of the artboard is in Illustrator.

Lost on the cause of this.

Been a while since we had Accurip but I am pretty sure that its when the media setting is off in Accurip itself. Try checking that. I think that is what I did when mine was doing that. I switched to Wasatch a few years ago so I have forgotten most of the tricks in Accurip.

Did you recently switch to an all black ink system?

If so... in your rip setup at the beginning make sure it knows you are running all black inks, if it thinks you are still running all the colors it can cause lines for some reason.

Hope this helps..

Running single black. Checked those settings. All seems correct.

Make sure all your layers are unlocked and do a select all to make sure there is nothing else in the artwork.
Can you send it directly to the EPSON and bypass the RIP to check if it is a RIP problem or an Illustrator problem?
