Sprint Dryer
« on: January 04, 2016, 03:22:30 PM »
happy new year everyone!

We decided we wanted to put in some new heat gasket material on our old sprint international dryer. Is the Red Gasket from M&R the best/easiset one to get? is there something else we should look at?

Here ya go:

http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/121/3592/=10jf76l

We used    8645K61 but check what width/thickness you want for your particular model in case yours is different.  We used this on a Sprint 2k HO.

Thanks to Winston for this info, I'm just the messenger.

actually i also need to get some stronger latches to keep the sections more sealed together. Does anyone have some recommendations on some heavy duty latches to keep the different drones together?

On the list for me as well.  The door/window style hookups are absurd, ours are totally corroded from heat and I actually had to sawzall a few off during install.  I want to look at how interchange does there's and make some buckles or similar because if I have to assemble this sprint again using the current connectors I might not make it through.  I don't think it would be too hard to attach some buckle type hardware to do this.

Oh and get a super long extension for your drill/driver with a magnetic tip for taking apart, installing the sheet screws for each section I got a milwaukee one I think that was perfect, it helps a ton, as does a head lamp and/or drill with a light on it.
