How is DTG with this kind of thing?
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

what color are they?  They should be fine, the only problem I would see is the dye on a darker color might not play well with the white ink or the heat it takes to cure them.

I was mostly wondering if the ink has a tendency to go through them and make a mess as it sometimes does when screenprinting.

we did a couple hundred white ones dtg. turned our platen to the same color as whatever the imprint was, but all in all it worked out ok. just wiped things down every dozen or so. truthfully, the hardest part was that we had to pre-press everything because they were so wrinkled.
