What size platens are you all using for 15" wide prints?

I'm considering bumping standard sizing down to 14" wide and it's jumbo printing up from there.  I don't like the standard 23x31 screen, 16" wide platen, 16" wide blade/flood tooling setup for 15" wide prints, too tight for comfort.  We also round our blade corners.

We run 18" pallets for 15x17" prints...same for 15" (okay, sometimes 16") by 21"...but those are designed to run off the edge of the pallet/shirt.

...our jumbo pallets and screens are the worst "upgrade" we've ever done.  32x48" screens (downsized from 48x52"...no idea what that guy was thinking), the 12 color CH3 gets knocked down to 5 colors...if you are going bigger than 32" wide screens you are forced to double-index.  That epic flasher...even more epic CTS...super expensive stretch table...the space they consume.  The epic scoop coater.  Massive quantities of emulsion, even more massive quantities of mesh.  They barely fit in the dip tank.  They throw water everywhere when you destencil and develop them.  They take up most of the drying room...god forbid you have to coat and dry a stack of them at once.

Unless you reallllly want or need to differentiate yourself/services I highly recommend staying the eff away.

...as always, your mileage may vary.
