Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. - Thomas Edison
I had mine built out of stainless steel. No problem with the chemicals. What metal did you use?I have attached photographs of the tank and dip tray. You'll see I put taps in the side so it's easy to empty.
Only leave screens in the dip tank for a short time 1-2 minutes. If you leave longer the emulsion comes off mesh and drops to bottom of the tank. The chemical destroys itself eating up the emulsion in the bottom of the tank. You should remove screens from dip tank when emulsion is soft and still in mesh. Pressure wash to remove.
I am now trying to buy another dip tank from the UK (Dave Roper) but we're not even having a reply from the supplier. Waiting for 2 weeks with no luck.Dave is normally quote good - Would you like me to call Dave Roper and chase up for you. I think Dave Renton from NESMS also sells them.
Just got an email from Dave Roper, saying he'll get in touch tomorrow…… Fingers Crossed
Your stainless steel should work. Try and find out what is causing the problem before you get another one.
