Dip Tank - Where to buy in Europe?

We've been having a hard time with dip tanks. As usual, no one sells them in our country, so we've been trying to purchase one somewhere else in Europe.

We had one made out of metal last year but chemicals will only last one week in it. We tried our usual chemicals and didn't last long. A couple months ago bought some CCI chems and it is no longer working again. I read somewhere dip tanks cannot be made out of metal.

Bought a new dip tank a couple months ago from Germany (siebdruckland) but our screens won't fit by half an inch.

Bought ANOTHER dip tank from the UK last month (SPE) but it turns out it was sold out and had funds returned.

I am now trying to buy another dip tank from the UK (Dave Roper) but we're not even having a reply from the supplier. Waiting for 2 weeks with no luck.


Does anyone know of a place to buy one at a decent price in Europe? Has to fit 25"x36" screens

I had mine built out of stainless steel.
No problem with the chemicals.
What metal did you use?
I have attached photographs of the tank and dip tray.
You'll see I put taps in the side so it's easy to empty.

Holy crap Maxie, it looks just like mine. Mine is also stainless steel.
For some reason, it always loses power within one to two weeks of usage. We used Dip n' Strip (CCI) at a slightly higher concentration than they advise and we don't do many reclaims (20/25 a week). It is the second time this happens to us.

I sent mail to Saati asking about using stainless steel.    I am filling my dip tank with their chemicals this week.     Here is their answer.
Stainless steel will work well.  They are referring to the concentrate.  At very high concentration (strait no dilution) it will leach the nickel from the stainless not a problem at the 1-2% concentration that is used to strip emulsion.

Why does the dip tank stop working to quickly?

Only leave screens in the dip tank for a short time 1-2 minutes.  If you leave longer the emulsion comes off mesh and drops to bottom of the tank.  The chemical destroys itself eating up the emulsion in the bottom of the tank.  You should remove screens from dip tank when emulsion is soft and still in mesh.  Pressure wash to remove.

Yes, I do realize that. We only leave it long enough for the emulsion to become soft and it gets easier to remove with the power washer. I have no idea what we might be doing wrong.

I just received my one on Saturday that can hold 7 screens. I asked someone to make it out of fibre glass....
I hope the fiberglass can withstand the harsh chemical.

Fiberglass will work well, you might need to put a band around the outside.
The weight of the liquid makes them buckle.

Your stainless steel should work.     Try and find out what is causing the problem before you get another one.

There are other issues with it. We made it too tight and it's bending with the weight of water so it's pretty hard to put in and remove screens and it takes us too long just doing that. My idea is to use it as a dunk tank after screen exposure.

Regarding chemicals, I have no idea what could be wrong, 2 weeks is nothing with the number of screens we're using it for. Initially I thought it was the chemicals we were using because they were not properly for dip tank (more of a mix we had done) but now with Dip 'n Strip, I have absolutely no idea what could be wrong with it

Mine bent in the beggining but then we added a SS 3X3cm frame around the top and this solved the bending.
I also cant get them supplied locally so had them made from Stainless steel.
I think they will last much longer.
