I had an Action rubber-top platen on fire a couple of years ago...on my manual. Flames were standing about 4 feet above the shirtboard, had made a hole in the screen that NO ONE would patch. It was basically all consumed except the corners and an inch or two around the perimeter. I kept around for a few months as an  "all ye who enter here!" type of reminder.

The Flash was pretty stanky for a few days, anytime it was on. And the whole shop smelled of burnt rubber for a couple of days. Garments seem to hold onto stench.

I was one lucky printer that nothing else caught fire. I self-administered a Dope Slap on the hapless perp. (Your's truly)

Well, just bought some aerosol fire extinguishers for piece of mind.  Thanks for scaring the crap out of me!

I am going to grab some for the shop as well.  I have a few at the house already...but honestly, a small fire would make a huge mess with a standard extinguisher.

Just in case I would as well recommend to get the amazing Smoke Hood, only available at Amazon Japan, a steal at $4. I can see myself wearing that when extensively flashing discharge underbases;)

How much is shipping over here?
(How about that for a change)

I'm sure it has a great purpose though.
