T-Jet 3 I know/don't laugh
« on: May 31, 2015, 12:02:10 PM »
To any one in the ATL area, I have a T-Jet 3 that I haven't used since fall 2011. May be a good parts unit? Change out the print head and docking station and clean up the bulk sys and it'll probably work if you have the skill and the software.
$100 gets it, including 4 platens and spare parts.

I wonder whatever happened to all those things. I imagine a graveyard in the desert just like the air force has

Believe it or not, the thing actually worked for me after a few shadetree mods and intense hours of persistence. Even though support wasn't much help.

I happen to be going down to Atlanta next week. Given that I also had a T-Jet2 and was able to run it well with no issues, If I were able to have $ to replace heads, I'd take that. I'm just needing everything I have for now.

$100 is almost giving it away. 5 years sitting or not, one could be in the DTG game for as little as $500-700 investment (not sure of head cost these days) once you have to replace the heads. From there, as long as you operate and maintenance it, you should be good with little more investment.

Good opportunity for someone.

Good for them!  Someone got a MEGA deal.  To Whomever got it, Just keep operating it. Print something every day. For example, do a great design for your business tees and print one every morning. You can also avoid using white in it and just run the colors. Should be beneficial for you. Good luck and have fun with it.
