Read any good books latley?
« on: September 17, 2011, 02:18:00 PM »
Just read
"Go the F**k to Sleep" by Adam Mansbach and Ricardo Cortes.
The funniest thing I have ever read.
Avaliable on Amazon for about 9 bucks, 4 bucks on the kendel.
A MUST READ!
Terry
found it on youtube, nicely illustrated and read by Samual L Jackson.

I guess not.  Wow, not many readers in this group or do we just focus all of our reading on screen printing related material?

The art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. If you like dogs and car racing  like I do this is a must read! Riley Hopkins gave it to me to read and on my flight to our factory in Europe I finished it front to back! You won't want to put it down.

On a lighter side, when my kids were younger, I was a radio DJ.  I took about 15 to 20 Dr. Suess and other books to the station, and recorded them.  Rang a little bell to turn the page.  My grown kids still remember those tapes foundly.

Now I have to do it again, just found out my oldest daughter is going to have the first grandchild in March.....WOW!

Anything by Tom Robbins. He's been described as a writers writer. Best fiction ever. Start with Jitterbug Perfume. For the artsy folks check out Nick Bantok. Start with Griffin and Sabine Trilogy. If you don't have goosebumps after reading the last sentence of the first book you're not human. These are heavily illustrated interactive books all crafted by Nick. I'm going to try and find my way to Salt Springs Island next year where he conducts workshops.

Not much of a reader, but I do enjoy the writing's of Charles Bukowski. Something about a miserable, lonely drunk comforts me.

I love to read, just don't have a lot of time lately.

I enjoy mostly non-fiction... Science, history... Bill Bryson is a current favorite.

When I do read, it's always a business book or a bio/documentary book. My current tome is Ron Chernow's "Titan: The Life of John D. Rockefeller, Sr".
50% of the time I'm 100% right.

No Fabio... :) Ha Ha... I am more into the books like Shopaholic, Sookie Stackhouse books (What True Blood is based on), and of course I have read the Twilight series.

I do read some meaningful stuff, but not quite as much as my chick flick kind of books. :)
