Diamondback flood acting up

 Head 2 flood is not working correctly. When it is time to flood it is delayed and then eventually will jump out and flood. Prints fine, proxy switches seem to be working (lights on/off). Head 2 is mostly used for flash so its speed is never changed.The control panel will tell if the flash is to fast. I have adjusted the flood speed and it does not make a difference. Also when you release the air and try to move the head by hand it will be stuck at the back position. You can pull it out with some effort and then push hard to get it back in place. It freely moves once it is away from the back. When it does print and the squeegee raises to let the flood go down it not a smooth process it is a jerky motion before it floods again. Print arm and tracks are clean and lubed. It is under warranty and M&R has been contacted including videos. 2013 Diamondback S, air/servo. Maybe prox switch, stroke cylinder rod, sq/fld control valve? Nothing in the manual.

This happened mysteriously on head 6 of our Diamondback a long time ago.  The metal that comes very close to the printhead moving back and forth was a bit out of being flat where the back stop adjustment is.  We bent that back to as straight as possible and it works fine now.  Try adjusting the backstop first and flooding and printing again and again, then move it back further and find what and where it is getting caught on.

Everything on the print carriage, arms and the track under arm seem fine. What i did was move the carriage stop in 3 inches (reducing the image area) and the head now works fine. It will not flood correctly if i put the stop at it maximum point. I still feel resistance with the air off when you push the head all the way back. Still sticks.

its either misalignment of cylinder or bad cylinder. if you loosen the nut that holds the cylinder in place you should be able to determine which it is fairly easily.
