9mm squeegee rubber

Call it a half a mm or .02 in, either way, standard American squeegee profile will not fit in metric holders.

From experience, that .5mm makes a huge difference.

I'm thinking we are missing something here. 0.02" in thickness difference on a squeegee should not cause any changes in function. This dimension is about the same as that of the tip of a fine pen.

9.5mm = 0.374" almost exactly 3/8" -

it probably depends on the holder more than anything.  The holders from action come totally apart, unlike the old M&R ones that you had to pry open.  .5mm wouldn't matter in the newer style at all.  I can barely get a squeegee in the old ones...those were a pain.

If we could fit standard 3/8 squeegee in our holders I wouldn't be chasing down odd metric sizes.
It's a bone of contention with MHM, but worth the tradeoff.

Atleast I'm not the only one feeling the pain on this. I said this week 1 or 2 when I got the press and freaked out over it and then had to figure what was "wrong" to only find out its just the Euro's and how they do it. I'm perfectly OK with but when its not readily available when I want it.....I get  a little  aggrevated. Thanks America for the I want it now complex

I agree with Ryan here, I don't care how small the difference in size looks in a picture, it is a bitch to squeeze anything but 9mm into the S.Roque squeegees.

Has anyone with Roq's tried the rubber at Goldup?

It's a bone of contention with MHM, but worth the tradeoff.

Yes. It's like anything goldup, you get what you pay for.... It fits nice, and works, but there are much better products out there.

I got a bunch or triple duros from them. I feel only their 70/90/70 works for us. Their softer ones don't seem to work as well. I feel that they are usable, but you do get what you pay for.

I got two ez squeege holders from Action and love them. They come with really good rubber. Not sure what brand they use, but seems on par with Serilor. You can also use standard size squeegee rubber in there. They are a little heavier than the stock ones though. At some point I really need to order 6 more of them and keep the stock squeegee holders as backups.

In my youth I did a few months casual work on a building site in North California and trying to work with fractions of inches totally fried my brain - I think the other guys thought I was just ultra stupid.

So is the solution to track down the 9mm rubber? 

We'll need to do this soon but still have standard/American manual and auto squeegees as well.  Will the Euro width fit in the American stuff without slipping?

I'm hearing "it's near impossible to stuff the US blade into the Euro holders" from users and "it's no big deal" from sellers.
