Danny, just curious as to how much a well qualified OP makes at a shop such as yours?

My press guys start @ 18/hr and once they start kicking ass that goes above 20/hr...... Seems like any lower then that and I just the shop hoppers or guys that "have experience"....... I'm getting to the point where I would prefer to hire guys with little to no experience within this industry as I've had some issues lately hiring people, teaching them a lot of what I know then they are gone to another shop using that as leverage to be paid more. Probably why I was stuck working until 3 am last night, I would rather do the crap myself then hire people that I cannot trust.... Sucks LOL

Hmmm...two highly esteemed shops looking for press operators. I would trade two, maybe three operators, for Danny or Andy's artist.

Hey, a guy can dream can't he? ;D

I'd work for Andy or Danny as they both do great work, and I'm sure the experience would be worth it. Fortunately I enjoy where I am & I'm loyal to them because they have been loyal to me. ( we just spent a week doing some team building, this somewhat seems to help with people giving a little more of a hoot about company they work for. )

Wow Andy Anderson, that would be cool tho.

for a press op..  :o
Last time i made that running a press was my days at mirror image.

I was making a little more than that to BUILD AND MANAGE the shop out here.

then I got pushed out when I asked for more and was replaced by the very press op that I pulled off the street and trained.

I honestly thought about it for a second or two and then the reality kicked in. . .
