Thanks for clearing that up, Dan.  Somehow I got the impression early on that it was Andy's gig, and had no idea that you and Pierre were also founding members.  Andy and Pierre were among the kind people who helped us when we were struggling through our first job in waterbase last summer.  I've absorbed a ton of information from all three of you already (and a bazillion others), so it's nice to get a better grip on who's who.

We'll certainly be happy to help anybody we can!

One of your biggest contributions would be to assist other new printers with what you're experiencing. It will be fresh in your head while someone new will post the same questions. For many of us, we forgot what it's like to start out. Not me so much. I'm still starting out. LOL.

Amen to this. I am very new to the game. Just around two years of print experience but one solid year of printing on a somewhat regular basis. Getting my new shop in setup and in order and I going to start teaching beginner workshops right away. I know enough to do that and share what I know and it will only help me get better while having the added bonus of building a stronger creative community around here.

FANTASTIC work andyandtobie. Jealous. :)

I'll jump on the bandwagon too and say nice print, but using a discharge base would give you a smooth underbase as well...but I agree with going up in mesh count might even need to change your white ink but hey nice looking job and seps 8)

Frog is our day to day contact and custodian so to speak.

cus·to·di·an noun \ˌkəs-ˈtō-dē-ən\
: someone who keeps and protects something valuable for another person

: a person who cleans and takes care of a building

The first definition sounds a little more glamorous, eh?
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

On a 305, you'll want less emulsion so that you can clear all the ink from the screen.

1/1 sharp edge is what I'd try.
