Suggestions On Good RFU WOW ink?
« on: October 04, 2014, 05:32:00 PM »
Right now we have a cluster %$%^ of ink that I am not actually sure they are good for WOW printing. With mostly International Coatings, some Rutland and some QCM. I do use the QCM QMX mixing system which is cheap enough for me but I do not want to start mixing all my inks. So I am looking for a good reasonably priced ink set of RFU colors that print well on an auto on top of an underbase. Is it you get what you pay for when shopping? I finally have a white that I like in Wilflex Quick but other than that not really happy with what we are using. Suggestions?

Anyone using QCM WOW series? Seems like the most reasonably priced WOW ink out there.

Wilflex Epic series, you get what you pay for, and with this, there are ZERO problems.

I've used a few of the QCM WOW series inks and I liked them.  They were opaque and did a good job of not building up.

we switched from Triangle to International Coatings..we really like it. Wilflex was nice as well but when we tried a few of the Epics, they were really tacky. this was about two years ago or so.

What series on the international coatings? Seems like they have so many and they all look the same.

some colors in 700, some in 7600.

we have a gallon of Epic Dallas red and a bucket of IC in 700 I believe, we always try to use up the epic, but always pull it off press and use the IC. It just works better in this cold weather I suppose.

Sweating at 10PM on a Friday night in October. That was a little strange.

it was 80 on Friday, then mid 50's on saturday. I had to fire up the furnace at home, it's 59 out right now. this is why we had to build a heated ink room to maintain a constant temperature...it's nuts.

We use QCM WOW for 90% of our stuff and it's been really good. The only thing is that since Rutland took over batch to batch quality has been a little spotty, the odd really runny gallon etc.
