Low bleed or Poly specific ink on 65/35?

65/35 blends, Black Port Plackets.

How many of you go to the big guns here, or just stick with your standard low bleed?

Understand that I am still coming from Poly inks of the past, and their reduced "printability" but also realize that all whites are better than they were.

I print a lot of 65/35 or 80/20 or thereabouts blends with our standard low-bleed (Epic Quick) and it works out just fine.   

I really only go to big guns (Epic Performance System) if it's absolutely necessary- that ink has a more pronounced "plasticy" hand to it, smells weird and is expensive.  But it blocks dye like nothing else and cures at 290. 

I've discovered, from others, over the years that phthalate-free inks have better dye blocking characteristics so what I do might become a trainwreck for you depending on what you're using.  What white is your standard low-bleed?

I am just in the process of receiving samples from IC to replace my now discontinued and down to a quart  774. It's swan song version is(was) supposed to have been phthalate compliant (rather than phthalate free).
I also have a bucket of Xenon's  Regular White, which is a low bleed, and I have no idea of its phthalate status.

ebSean can probably set me up with the tiny amount I need of some appropriate Wilflex product, but I am beginning to feel comfortable with the low bleeds I have.
On the other hand, with a small print, the real stuff will probably not put up too much of a fight, and almost assure a good job.

I would use my standard low bleed on those Port's, IC 7031 ultra, we love this white and it's phthalate free.

That's good to know, now all we need is a little more documentation and perhaps lot numbers on the label if we want to use it for CPSIA compliant jobs!

Frog's right Sonny.  I never got to crack open the bucket you sent us because saying it's phthalate-free on a message board doesn't really cut it for compliance.  Need to get that msds updated.

standard ho/lb white for us even for 50/50..the only time i run POLY white is on 100% poly garments such as under armour etc..
