100 or more is what we have been doing.

about 50. It also depends on how busy we are. If we are pressed for time, we'll burn two for 30 (registration is often not necessary with the film position unit we use).

We do on pretty much every job.  But anytime white is showing we bill it at 2 colors.

36 or more pcs 2 screens, less than 36 manual or auto p/f/p with one screen.

Same here unless its a sample for a retailer. If its a sample they are paying for the press time so it goes on the auto.

I've done the math for our shop and it's around 144 shirts for us.  Due to the press speed we can run so many more shirts going around twice than the 15-20 minutes it takes to put another screen into production and reclaim it so our number may seem high to some.  144 with 2 revolutions is only about 18-19 minutes of press time for us and I've figured adding another screen into production takes about that time to produce, setup and reclaim.

I made a chart figuring all this up but I can't find it right now.  It's based on our press speed and screen production/reclaim so it won't really work for everyone.

Would somebody mind telling me what this means? Is this something specific to autos?

If its a light colored garment I'll run one white, on darks 100, above that I 'll break out 2 whites screens if possible.

I believe that yes, pretty much printers using autos, deciding when rather than sending shirts around twice for a p-f-p, it's economically advantageous to just run a second white screen after the flash.

They are referring to having 2  white screens to prevent having to have the automatic press revolve around twice to do a PFP of the same design
