l...seriously It does have a servo motor for indexing.  We wanted to keep it as affordable as possible.

Whoa, I'm completely confused.

I thought the reason you guys made the Volt was to make a uber affordable entry level press.  Now the reason you with with pneumatics on the Prodigy to save money?!

Yall know Gilligan is doing his best Barbara Walters and getting to all the facts LOL

I have no agenda... I'm just stating that the words coming out of his mouth don't make much sense.

What about the guy that he sells the Volt to?  Now if he wants a tag printer in the corner he has to add the compressor that he just told him he didn't need and was so passé.

Did Terry steal your high school sweetheart?

Never ever said that we made the VOLT as a entry level press !!!!!!!   Far from the truth......The VOLT isn't entry level at all !  Doesn't mean though that the your first automatic or your next press shouldn't be a VOLT!   There is nothing entry level about a 18 station 16 color press with a 20 x 28 image size! (largest configuration)  Never said it was a "Cheap Press"   In fact it is the most advanced press on the market.  I did say  it was affordable, I said it was energy efficient.  I did say no need for a chiller or compressor.
The Volt comes in all different configurations.
The simple facts are that a pneumatic press is less expensive to build than a quality all electric press.  Why do you  think that servo and electronic print heads cost more on pneumatic presses?
Quality built.....built to last and to be trouble free with less maintenance.    I don't call that entry level !

I guess if he buys a Prodigy  he will need a very small compressor and chiller.   It means that his business is expanding and he is doing more and different type of work.

easy as 123....1.  turn the both chopper cylinders down or up to the desired level....2.  clockwise to lower and counter clockwise to raise to desired pressure. 3. test print to make sure you have the correct pressure for your needs.

oh, did I ever mention to you about the Digital Off Center contact on the VOLT?  No other press offers this great feature....no more adjusting with tools under the press.   98 different adjustment, like other presses that offer only three settings.....opps I forgot we are on this thread speaking about the Prodigy Tag Printer.

Does it have a digital read for the pressure on the choppers?

Actually looks like a nice little unit.

Sorry Terry, but I got to bust your balls here...
In fact it is the most advanced press on the market.

Dude how can you say that, you have to MANUALLY screw clamp the screens in!!! Plus you can't adjust the print pressure! You could probably say it is a great press for it's niche. Saying it's the most advanced on the market is like saying we can run a full shop with a great Yudu press and some speedball ink.

Question for users of tagging presses...

with the flash cures that are in these type of units, I assume that you're not going for a full cure of the ink...  do you just assume that the ink will get fully cured when you send the shirt down your normal belt dryer?  do you have to do anything special to make sure that the collar is open?  or since it's a tag does it not matter as much?

We have the RapidTag, and they say it is fully cured, but as a safety we always mix some low cure additive.

Looks can go a long way, based solely on looks and the video I would venture it is a more capable press with better results than the RapidTag....
