The closest thing we had was an explosion years ago that shook the crap out of everything.  I think we've had a n earthquake or two here.  Frankly, I can't remember.

We have them in CT but they are not generally felt but only heard. I guess the ground makes some kind of rumble when our small micro quakes happen.

We actually felt one here in Iowa about 10 years ago. I think the epicenter was in SW IL. Crazy

Never felt an earthquake, but my house did rattle when the latest space shuttle blew up over Texas.  I remember that well, sitting there talking to my mom before going to a job interview and we heard this loud explosion very very far away and the windows in the house rattled.  I felt the tremble of the old hardwood floors beneath my feet.

First one I ever felt. I was writing up an order, when my partner says, "hey, are we having an earthquake?" The standing mirror across the room started moving all over the place, then I could feel it up through my feet. I'm on a 4th floor in a 101 year old building, had me thinking I should get the hell out, then I answered the phone. Our control panel on our MHM which on an arm that you can walk around the press was bouncing up and down, got the whole shops attention. I'd say it was kinda cool, but it really wasn't.

Riding a scooter down the street and not being able to stay on it.

Waking up with your bunkbed slamming against the wall. The aftershocks were even scarier.

Here's to hoping the A's never play the Giants in a World Series again. Really wrecked house

Just had a 5.3 last night in Colorado... Biggest since 1973!

Funny thing is we just never get them,,,, Used to get them backin the seventies and they discovered it was the Lowry Airforce Base pumping the old mustard & sarin gas into the ground that was causing them :-O

I remember seeing a building in Denver that was built on giant rolling hinges during those days. Yep, when the AF stopped pumping, the earthquakes stopped. There are those who think "fracking" can cause them as well, although it's not been proven.

I've been in many earthquakes. The Loma Prieta was terrifying. I rode my bike down to the Cypress structure the morning after. You could still smell cars/people that were burning under the concrete.

Be glad you only had a small tremble. Big earthquakes are NOT cool. It f***s up your entire reality afterward.

Command, can you find a link to info on the lowry base and earthquakes.  I was interested in reading up on it and google turned up squat.
