« on: June 09, 2014, 08:19:17 AM »
Anyone here using one? Are they as efficient as described in their brochure? Worth the money?

We picked up a commercial screen dryer years ago at an auction, it holds 30 of our manuals, or 20 autos, it was a great buy. 15 years later, it was probably the best $300 we ever spent. Get one, you'll be happy.

Auctions can be pretty good. It was a printed circuit company that had gone down. That $300 included the freight too! The real point was, get one if it's a good price, you'll make it back before you can notice.

We have a 10 and 20 screen
Also same sizes in browns.
Vastex works.
Browns fry the electrics and do not work nearly as well.
Will rebuild them so guts are like vastex this winter.

$3900 is the best I have found, I am looking to do the same thing.  That's Nazdars price, Vastex was the same thing at the ISS show.

We are doing free shipping on all our Vastex this month, if you are in continental U.S.  Includes the drying cabinets.

I have an old Hix. It's great. I need to watch the heat in mine or it can melt/warp the plastic locking strips on our mesh. I keep the door slightly ajar and put the temp at 4 (of 10). If I'm in a hurry for a screen I will crank it higher but need to make sure it doesn't sit in there for too long.

In short, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

From what I see these units use heated air and not a dehumidifier? Is there a water drain on them?
