"He who marches out of step hears another drum." ~ Ken Kesey
A follow up on that monitor post. I need a decent calibration puck. Can't seem to sort out the options as they are all so geared to those printing photos and laden with features I probably don't need. Seeing as we are all screen here and my epson prints nothing but black, I'm not really in need of anything fancy. Looking at a the mid-range ColorMunki. We may well be running a little dye sub soon and I wonder if the higher end models are worth it there in order to calibrate better with the printer?
Hey Pierre, those are the ones I'm looking at. Only negative I could find is from photogs saying that, if you aren't happy with it's auto calibration to a printer, you have no curve control and then must adjust curves manually in PS. That would be maddening for a photographer but I see little need for it for us screen printers. It sounds like all these are the same basic hardware with the more affordable ones being short on the software features that some may want. I do like that's it does both reflective and transmissive. If you're happy with I'll go for it.
