Dispensing from 5gal. buckets

How are you guys dispensing WB/DC bases or white from 5 gal containers? Plastisol is easy enough to scoop out, but since the WB stuff is so runny I was thinking of a pump like this-

My concern is that the ink may dry out a bit. Especially the ink that would be "in" the tube...

What are peoples thoughts, or better yet- what is a better idea!?

Some of these are flimsy and dont have a legit way to mount on a 5 gal plastic pail. Most are designed for drums. We just use huge plastic scoops from restaurant supply. Never an issue.

We scoop too due to lack of a better idea. We have a pump for Wilflex base that works well.

CCI's base and white have bung holes (I think that's my first legitimate use of the term) for dispensing
but I don't know how to make use of them.

The pump linked on uline has a compatible lid for mounting that they also sell.  I like the idea of not messing with a lid at all more than anything...

Keep an empty 5 gallon then get yourself a 1" PVC ball valve and using PVC parts and some glue..

install that valve on the side at the bottom, then put the bucket on a shelf and dispense as you see fit.

We always scoop since we've found a good stir is best before dispensing if it has sat for any length of time at all.

If you are pumping water base -- better be stainless steel.

i am amazed a bung hole is a real thing.

we used to have a pump for emulsion.  it ended up being a bigger pain than it was worth.  it's another thing to clean, lose, damage, etc.

I would get some stainless or silicone ladles.

Speaking of restaurant supply, we have one opening between here and the house...I am excited.

Being in Charleston, we have a good reason for a used restaurant equipment outlet. So many goodies. They just let you rummage around and you can haggle with them.

Most used supply places are goldmines for stainless steel and are more than happy to help you strap it to the back of your pickup.
