Hmmm, no numerals in Tattoo Ink. Any other ideas? I extra tired of looking for it...

not exactly your fonts but kinda similar, you could cut to curves and possibly morph up what you need? You might try searching blackletter or gothic  font styles like the sets here

DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES COMPLETELY WITHIN MY CONTROL YOU SHOULD GET YOUR OWN TEE SHIRT AND A SHARPIE MARKER BY NOON TOMORROW OR SIMPLY CALL SOMEONE WHO GIVES A SHIRT.

but no font sites appear to include numbers (which he needs) for this particular font. Bummer.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Here's what I found out; that image is a stock "Freshman" image on Custom Ink; screen capture, clean up in PS, use PhotoZoom Pro to enlarge it (it cleans up jpeg artifacts) which gets saved as a .tif. I opened that back up in PS, pushed the resolution to 300 from 72, used Gaussian Blur to soften the fuzzies, then I like Curves or levels to boost the black and white, which further smooths out the edges, and voila, useable art. I save a lot of bad images this way, it's not perfect, but when there are no other options, it's pretty good.

Steve

And I like the Dobbins Demons font, it's a little cleaner. Still no numbers though...

why use photozoom pro instead of just photoshop?  for an image like this I would toss in photoshop, change rez, hit shadow/highlight pretty hard, mess with curves/levels for a sec, and blur/level again if necessary for the jaggies.  Lot quicker than moving through multiple programs.

PhotoZoom Pro is a Photoshop plug-in, under Export in the file menu, provided you own it of course. This allows me to make it about twice the final size, then I do the blur/Curves thing to smooth the edges, then when reduced to the final output size, the edges are even smoother.

ah gotcha.  Thanks for the heads up.  I used to use a similar plugin for photography.
