Stickers on shirts?
« on: March 05, 2014, 06:27:42 AM »
So if you ever have a smudge of ink on a shirt from it falling on itself when taking off a pallet or discover a pinhole on press -- I'm thinking applying a sticker of some sort on the shirt when putting it on the conveyer belt to designate it as a shirt that needs to be zimmed/addressed may be easier than trying to stay on top of it when it comes out of the dryer -- do you guys know of or use any cheap heat resistant stickers for such a task?

Thanks.

I have pieces of torn  painters tape ready to go, but don't limit myself to the collar area.

we have a magnet on the dryer to that we stick a bunch of safety pins to  and simply add the pin to the shirt at the point of attention.
Pins are absolutely heat proof and do not fall off.

DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES COMPLETELY WITHIN MY CONTROL YOU SHOULD GET YOUR OWN TEE SHIRT AND A SHARPIE MARKER BY NOON TOMORROW OR SIMPLY CALL SOMEONE WHO GIVES A SHIRT.

We do this as it does not interrupt production.

60 day blue tape will peel of without leaving residue and can be reused. Puller tags the spot so the catcher sets the shirt aside and blows it out when there is a short break in production or when the run is over. It's about $6 for a roll and will last you months. . .

We leave it on the roll next to the dryer, but on faster runs will tear some in advance.

We use large paper binding clips.  Clip it to the collar, sleeve, hem, whatever area is closest to the flaw.
