Regarding Murakami LX Mesh.  The mesh knuckles on LX mesh are fused differently than common polyester mesh with the threads appearing to go through each other at the mesh knuckle.  The thread itself is also totally different than polyester mesh and has a softer outer core with a low elongation inner core with glass like transparency.  The result of the fusing at the mesh knuckle is a lower RZ value.  Take a 150S mesh in Polyester and 150S LX mesh.  Both provide excellent tonal reproduction, but the key is the RZ value and thread difference of the LX mesh will provide even brighter opaque base plates than the 150S Polyester due to the low RZ value.  Squeegee pressure can be slightly less than on the polyester mesh and less squeegee chatter due to extremely low mesh knuckles.  The softer outer core of the thread  also gives slightly during the printing of viscous white ink and allows better ink transfer to the shirt.
