Printing Plastisol on Polyester Ink
« on: December 18, 2013, 07:16:57 AM »
I have some Polyester Tees that need 4 color print but I do not have all 4 colors of ink in Poly. I would like to use the Poly as an underboss and print the other inks on top of it. My question is Poly cures at a lower temp that plastisol and if I turn my dryer up to 325 degrees the dye from the shirt will bleed through the Poly so any suggestion?

been doing it for years! ZERO problems.  I use Wilflex performance white as the base, dryer at 360, belt at 23.  NO problems here.

agreed! we print all the time with poly underbase and standard ink top colors. never have an issue with bleeding or curing either.

But let's assume that Logoman's Polyester ink is also plastisol (as most are, merely tweaked), and not the new Silicone ink for Poly.
They are not compatible.

That rug really tied the room together, did it not?
