Wow,can things change in an instant!
« on: November 28, 2013, 02:49:54 PM »
I've been looking forward to today, as for the first time in 25 years, we were going to Thanksgiving at someone else's!

My son comes up from SoCal, my new adopted dog gets to come and have playmates, someone else does the heavy lifting, the whole nine yards!

then, I turn my ankle, pretty bad, choose to stay home,
To help ease my disappointment, my son logged into his Hulu, and I am now on my ass, elevating my foot, vegging out with Dr. Who, all day long!

happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I was a huge fan of Dr Who in the 70's and 80's tho I have not seen any of the modern day reincarnations yet. But I would suggest watching the Torchwood spinoff they were excellent. Torchwood is an anagram of Dr Who.

I did get to see Torchwood when first broadcast, as it was carried by a station I get.
In fact, a few years back, I was able to see the first NEW two or three seasons of Doctor Who. (after season 26 or something, they started at 1 again)

Interestingly, I just saw the episode 9 with introduction of Captain Jack in 1941

the re-imagined Battlestar Galatica is mandatory viewing in my mind....possibly one of the best series ever written....hated to see it end.

I own the complete series and caprica as well. Caprica is meh in my opinion. But BSG I watched through and through several times already it is incredible. I could swear they dug Assimov up from the grave to produce it.

Sadly these types of shows, set in the future sci-fi seem to be suffering as of late. I really miss Stargate and the spin offs and ofcourse StarTreks anyone.

Today, with a "Moon Boot" I am getting around with no cane, just slowly.
I will get back to work as I am facing some deadlines.

These are the times I learned about years ago that require accepting situations, not beating oneself and going crazy, but rather prioritizing, and doing the best one can, one step at a time.
I am explaining my situation to my clients, and re-adjusting the order in which I will deliver depending on true need.

I am blessed, in general, with clients who are very understanding.
