I can draw honest.. ask Dan
« on: September 28, 2013, 11:39:51 AM »
Clip art is an addiction.. To take existing art (clip art mainly) and turn it into something that someone needs and is willing to pay for has to be and art thing? Right.. To satisfy customers for a lot less money than what they expected to pay is good right?  To be able to make that art into something that does not really look like clip art is even better right?  You tell em Dan..

I'm with you, it takes a good "eye" to produce better designs with clip art, but I still recognize elements as clip art. However, I don't care either; if it looks good and the customer likes it and will pay, then it's perfectly valid. I did a DTG job recently for a family going on a vacation; they had a fish name, so I got a $10.00 fish from Shutterstock, set some complimentary text around it, and they loved it.
