Pantone 032 C - HELP!

I have the Wilflex MX mixing system. A job we have is calling for Pantone 032 C. The Wilflex software doesn't pull up that color. Is this some type of standard red or something? I am just thrown for a loop here. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

here in germany we buy this as a standard red from wilflex.... should be the same in the us i guess.
sericol has this as a standard too.

I assume you have a PMS book to review. But just incase.


I use 032 red (a lot) in sim process because it makes really good blends with yellows to make good oranges and mixed with blues for browns.


It's got a touch of yellow shade to it, slightly more yellowish than a 185 red. To give you a target, If I remember correctly, 185 might be considered a Wilflex Scarlet red (I think).


I am looking at a color print out of the Wilflex standard ink colors and Scarlet is what I would call out, but (color prints can be off in varying edges as well) and my print here is on uncoated paper.

I would think that a "standard red" is more like 185 or whats often known as a Fire truck red. To me tho, Fire truck red can be different to other peoples opinions and the way way see it. Still tho, just a guess, but a pretty tight one.


I sure wish they would just call Scarlet a PMS number as well, so you knew exactly what it matches up to.  I got this from Wilflex one (from Ray) but I lost it between computers.

1788 is almost the same. It is closer than your software or mixing system tolerances are.

There are typically 14 colors in many Pantone matching systems. Red 032 is one of the Pantone reds. You can get to 032 by mixing some pigment color systems.

Type in  "032 C" It came up in my software. Doesn't show up if just 032. Its listed near the bottom with Reflex Blue and Rhodamine red

are you typing a "zero" or the letter O?

are you putting a space between the 2 and C ?

type "RED 032 C" into the software - worked for me

if you just type "032 C"  it wont come up

I found it as PANTONE RED 032 C

the wilflex red I use for 90% of our orders is  40000 GNS-GNS SCARLET  , At my Wilflex dealer they refer to it as "Levis" red it is a nice red.

On the newest version of the software it is RED 032 C.  I searched for "032 C" using the Pantone button for search.  Hit "Next" a couple times and got it.
