Almost Blue
« on: August 21, 2013, 06:17:44 AM »
Thinking of Pierre briefly while driving over the bridges at the wee hours this am. If that full moon was any whiter it would indeed have been blue. Yesterday it was yellow ochre.
Oh BTW "Almost Blue" is an excellent Elvis Costello song look it up.
Just trying prove I'm a real person!

Almost Blue - Elvis does C+W, liked it...if you haven't already -might want to try Miles Davis's Kind of Blue album - even if you're unsure of jazz

Come on Tony, after telling people to read Tom Robbins in a 'good quote' thread, anyone who's familiar with it knows you're far past real.  ;)

is that big bridge the ravenoe or something like that? I wanted to move to Charleston but my wife is afraid she won't be able to drive over that bridge. That is such a nice area. I could not get over how friendly people are when you leave South Florida.

When you dig grave will you make it shallow so that I can feel the rain?

It's the Ravenell and also the Chuck Dawly. Mount Pleasant isn't technically an island but but it might as well be. Yes it's not at all uncommon for total strangers to say "Hey" here. Unfortunately Conde Naste voted CHS/MP as the most favored destination in the world and it's showing. My sleepy bohemian town has grown up.

I have a picture from two months ago of the Super Moon between the towers of the bridge. Awesome!

Perhaps in a few more years as they reach our age, The New Bohemians can take advantage of your suggestion.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

running it does not interest me. The surrounding areas are great though. Maybe I will have to put Charleston or Mount Pleasant back on my short list...
