Before we switched to a DTS system I was using a 4800 and Wasatch. My only complaint was the films were not quite as dark as we wanted them to be. Of course in hindsight we could have probably tweaked that some in the RIP or with the inks themselves.
from what I've seen, 4800 series is a lot of bang for the buck. You can find a used one for $500 or so and they will let you print from a roll and use the 220ml cartridges. It also has the AccuInk available for it which is producing some impressive results. Add a XL version of Film Maker and you are golden! Under $1k for something that will print on par with your imagesetter (if set up properly).pierre
