Quite often, we'll sweat the details a little much.
If a client can't be bothered to send vector curves, or properly embed the font,
they're likely not that concerned, or have no right to be in the first place.
 ;)

Cheers.

I agree with you 100% but the reality is my meager little slice of the market place would be cut by about 75% if I didn't kiss a little ass...do a little dance to snag a pile of dead presidents...or on your side of the pond... I am always looking for a pony while aiming for the bullseye even if it takes a century of monkey business to see that  bag of sand. ???

Here's my trick to finding vector logos for big companies like this or any with a substantial website.  Use google's site search feature for PDF files.  Looks like this in a google search box "pdf site:https://www.care-net.org".

First result was this: https://www.care-net.org/uploads/affiliation_docs/2pgs-Standards-Adoption-Color.pdf which if you zoom in on the logo you'll see it's vector in there.

Download pdf. PLACE the pdf in an open illustrator file. Then go to Object - Flatten Transparency, in the options box I always select "convert all text to outlines". Hit ok, then start unmasking and ungrouping the object until you get the vector paths of the logo.

Done, vector logo! None of their other pdf's on their site used the actual font for their logo, closest they used was Modern no20 in some of their brochures.

I do it everyday man.
I don't want to come across as 'above that' or something, I take care of my clients.
What I was pointing out, was the fact that, like myself, you may be guilty of driving yourself nuts over something the client isn't even overtly aware of.
Sometimes, you gotta take a step back before diving in.
And all that.

*hard lessons learned.

Typing thoughts as best I can.
Cheers.

I hear ya man most of my customers are pretty much blind to stuff that I and no doubt you toil over every day but we gotta do it.
As far as driving myself crazy unfortunately I made that trip many years ago and as I recall it didn't take much gas ;D

Damn, I thought that was MY secret... I'll bet that works 75% of the time I try it...

I opened my copy of Imagaro to revisit just yesterday. I found it too much of a pain to do the font thing, (too many from too many places) and stopped using it. So, maybe I should check it out again...
