Gas Dryer - Makeup Air?
« on: January 27, 2013, 09:57:43 AM »
We finally have our new Mini Sprint 2000 assembled and ready to go except the duct work. Our HVAC guy is telling us that we not only need exhaust but also a return for makeup air because the blower is pulling 1200 CFM out of our 2600 sq. ft building. Do any of you have this or know anything about it?

Thanks

You need to use double walled ducting that allows the pull back.

Thanks John. So if I use double walled then it will also act as a "return"?

It acts as a return and a cool skin.

And a bit of a heat exchanger as well, I suppose.  Pretty nifty.

Depending on where you are located you may need to add makeup air which in some states must be heated. PM me a phone or e mail to discuss.

I know that here in MN if a inspector checks a install out(we ALL ALWAYS pull the right permits right ;)) you do need make up air.
