Economax dryer problem

I have an older economax dryer been a very good workhorse, this morning I had to change a fuse, so I changed them all, now the temp guage is only going up to 530 which it should be 940, but the heat panels are still very hot at 640 or 720 once I checked with the temp gun...anyone have a dryer like this and have this problem before?

Sounds like you might of put a bad fuse in instead of a good one. Might want to check with a meter.

I,m thinking that too Rich even though they all suppose to be new right out the box, everything is still hot the temp guage still reads between 519 and 530 so I might try another fuse.

also I check my fuses at the connectors, just in case one is corroded or has some soot on it from an arc.  bad fuse holders are just as ineffective as bad fuses.

You can lose a leg of 220 and still get some heat, roughly half.

if you have a volt meter give me a call and we can figure it out in less than 5 minutes.
