Freseners Start Printers Boot Camp Workshops
« on: September 17, 2012, 05:55:15 PM »
From Scott Fresener: I have decided to start teaching classes again. I have partnered with my son, Mike Fresener, to do screen printing and computer graphics training workshops and we are calling the classes Printers Boot Camp. The first set of workshop/boot camps will be held in Nashville, Tennessee, November 9 - 11, 2012 at the Union Station Hotel.

We are offering a 3-day T-Shirt Printers Boot Camp designed for beginners and novice garment printers. This is the same class we offered for years at our popular U.S. Screen Printing Institute - where over 14,000 students were taught over 30 years. The new class has been updated to include more on computer graphics, special effects inks and the latest in business and marketing advice. Attendees will get hands on experience from Mike and I on everything from making a screen through printing high-end images on light and dark shirts. This class is geared towards start-up printers or any printer wanting to learn the correct techniques, tips, tricks and how to be a better printer.

The second class is a 2-day Master Color Separators Boot Camp. I will teach all the secrets of how to do high-end color separations for garment screen printing - including Simulated Process, Index Color, CMYK Seps and special separations for discharge and waterbased ink. As many of you know, I am a very active color separator with clients - large and small - who print for Disney, Harley, Walmart and more. I have done literally thousands of separations with hundreds of repeat customers. I will give attendees the benefit of my years of experience of how to work with bad artwork, be efficient in separating, reduce the color count, match the original, and make a great print. This class is geared towards computer graphic artists or anyone - including owners - who want to learn how to do high-end photorealistic color separations.

In doing separations every day I have found that a lot of artists can create a stunning image but they lack the knowledge of how to color separate it. And, they often need help in knowing how to design for a better separation and cleaner print. I want to train artists how to do it all in my new hands-on class.

Mike Fresener taught our popular 3-day class for years and kept getting requests to bring the class back. We both love nothing better than to see a new student make their first print. It brings a smile to their face and ours!

We will be bringing our Printers Boot Camp to other cities including my home town of Scottsdale, Arizona and I will have class dates for the spring published soon.

Class sizes are limited. Classes are sponsored by www.T-BizNetwork.com and www.IndependentPrintSupplies.com. For more information go to www.PrintersBootCamp.com or call 1/888-801-1561 or 480-212-1078. Email me personally at scott@tbiznetwork.com.

Thanks! See you in Nashville.

I attended Scott's class on printing dark garments when he was in Arizona....... His classes are hands on and it was very benificial for our business at the time........ musta been in the 90's sometime. They did an excellant job of explaining the details and how things work..... Highly recommended for any new guys or someone that is struggling with their printing......... just my opinion and "NO" this is not a paid political advertisement!
