Here's a pic of my control panel:

You can get a Q-runner on ebay right now if you want one. I don't want one lol, maybe I didn't make that clear.  I'm more wondering if there's a firmware update for my machine.  When I turn it on it says VER. 1.06SVX.  In the Trident user manual PDF they sent me it has a screen cap of the startup screen and theirs says VER. 1.20.

Does anyone have options under the PREHEAT menu item?

I have 4 flash control port plugs but the menus only allow me to set up 2 quartz flashes.  I have a shuttle flash I use right now for a midway around flash when printing a lot of colors.

I guess I could call Anatol but crap I'd probably get quicker and more accurate answers here unless I catch a knowledgeable tech on the phone that has been around since my machine was built??

Anyone have any cool tips they use regularly on your press?  F1 on my head panels puts the machine in 1/2 index mode for cleaning screen lint or checking prints

During winter months I sometimes tweak the index distance and home offset to account for the colder shop to make the machine index and lift smoother.

I'll take a gander at my set up screen. I have a Stratus around 04-05 model. I have the rapid wave and love the chit out of it. When we are rollin' I get the flash times down to .8 sec on a 230 unerbase.

I don't have a rapidwave quartz but I do have a quartz flash, it's a stainless steel beast made by Image Technology:

And an Intek IR panel that I mounted inside an old static frame with some drawer sliders to make it a "shuttle" flash.  Once the pallets heat up it does a decent job of flashing but nothing close to .8 seconds!!

Q-Runner will slow production WAYYYYY down.

Not more than trying to print a 6 color job with only 5 colors. ;)

Very True, no more than trying to print 8 colors with only 7, or 12 with only 10. This year I've had to deal with this more and more, its just part of growing in this buisiness.
