Anyone using Bodek's design studio?
« on: July 18, 2012, 01:55:35 PM »
Anyone using/used the Apparel Design Studio on their website being offered by Bodek & Rhodes? How did it work for you? Did it bring in any orders or did it create any headaches?

Thanks!

Yes to orders and yes to headaches.  "high resolution" art from the designer is  nothing short of a joke.  All art has to be redrawn, period.  But it gets people sending you requests for pricing and takes a few steps out of the equation for the customers that "know what they want".  If they take the time to use the crappy layout designer, then chances are you can replicate in a few minutes and have 100% approved art, so it does save time.

So for all intensive purposes it will be along the same lines as when a customer gives you a printout or link to custom ink? You pretty much have to redo the whole thing, but you know what they want and it's usually simple enough to recreate?

How are the fonts assortment they have? And is there an option where you (the printer) can add clip art to it on your site? Or is that for the customer to upload their crappy jpg images?

I works. It beats sitting across from someone for an hour trying to read their mind as to what they want. It gives us a starting point.
