does this email sound scammish to you?
« on: April 25, 2012, 01:02:56 AM »
I am leaning toward yes just due to some of the wording. Have you guys gotten anything similar?

Hello,

We are interested in purchasing "spirit wear" tshirts, banners & vehicle window logo decals for my daughters soccer team.  We'd like 2 Banners, 3 x 10 full color, and pricing for our logo made into a vinyl/ window decal for a vehicle, please price these for one and advise if you provide a discount for multiples.  We'd like the Logo decal to be 5 inches by 13 inches.  I've attached the logo for you're reference. Find request for proposal on tshirts below:

I've attached design ideas that we are interested in.

Can you provide a quote based on the following:
20-30 tshirts - print front & back
If parents want to personalize their shirts with their child's number on the back as opposed to the standard images of the shirt attached.  Or personalized with "Mom" or "Dad" can that be done? (See ideas attached) If so, is there an additional charge?  -- (will be all different sizes)  -- Can we get a variety of colors or is the price based on same color tee?
This is our teams first time ordering spirit gear and I apologize first hand for all of the questions.  I just want to be able to provide the parents with answers (because I know they will ask)

15 Youth Dri-Fit Shirts - front and back (will be all different sizes) -- RED  If you are unable to provide Nike Dri Fit Shirts, can we bring our own dri fit shirts in for print?  If so, how much would it be for a three color image on front and two color image on the back?

Please provide process for payment/ deposit policy and turn around time.

Thank you, I look forward to your proposal.

I received one like this from out of state, I found it odd but quoted it. I don't see harm in providing a quote.

Sounds like one of your competitors gave her your contact info.  ::)

The questions are all legit, and very complete.  In fact, the questions are so complete, it sounds like either you are not the first shop she has contacted, or the previous team mom was very together, and made a "crib sheet".
So, especially if the team is local, why should it be a scam?
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

this sounds like a perpetual price shopper.  Not a bad idea to send a quote, just get 50% or 100% up front.

we always ask to see the artwork...that separates the shoppers from the buyers...and you can see if they are legit...

I'm gonna quote it and see. What made me wonder about it is they say it's their first time but it sure doesn't read that way.

You can quote it, but you can you possibly get enough money for that much work?
