Thanks Daryll I might try that. After I heat gun all the plastic back to black i was going to try a product called Mothers Black its supposed to protect the fading from happening again but hey peanut butter who knew lol.

I did both head lights. I bought four different grits starting at 400 ending at 4000. Then I got the buffing wax and buffing pad to finish it off, they look brand spanking new! Used a drill and attachment and wet sanded all stages to keep the heat down.  Do not waste your money on one of those restoration kits for thirty bucks for about ten bucks you can buy all you need and have more than enough to get the job done.
