Printing M3 Yellow
« on: June 04, 2021, 02:07:18 AM »
I use the Rutland M3 mixing system and am not happy with the results I get with Yellow on a white underbase.   If it's critical I have to print the underbase twice but this is difficult on long runs.
Is there a way to improve this?     Use a solid white base instead of the Rutland M3 white base?
Yesterday I used a Maxopake Yellow that worked well but it's hard to color match when using Pantone.

If I understand you right you are using the M3 white for a underbase? M3 white is for mixing color only.

No, we use a Rutland white for the base, not M3.      On black shirts we usually double stoke using a 150 screen.     Flash and then print top colors using a 220.    All the colors look good except yellow.    I have a job set up now and I used Maxopake yellow.     Got a much better result but it’s a problem color matching with Maxopake.
