Has anyone tried to use a Digital paint thickness gauge for checking EOM?

I don't see why it would not work. You may need to place a backer sheet of some sort on the squeegee side of the screen but you should certainly get a relative value read.
From there you can simply record the values relative and make a reasonable assessment on the EOM.
Lastly not sure who but one of our board members published an excellent detail on EOM, i don't locate it at the moment ...try searching the forum.

DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES COMPLETELY WITHIN MY CONTROL YOU SHOULD GET YOUR OWN TEE SHIRT AND A SHARPIE MARKER BY NOON TOMORROW OR SIMPLY CALL SOMEONE WHO GIVES A SHIRT.

More than one member has mentioned this particular one,  (though many others have gone the $600 route)
There are a few threads on the subject.

That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

I have one of those (or very similar).    Works well.    It has a metal disk that you hold under the screen while you are measuring.
Maybe the very expensive ones are more accurate but I am more interested in consistency and this one does the job.
