Found out by accident
« on: January 05, 2021, 02:59:07 PM »
Today was our first day in the new year to print with our sportsman.  We were just printing away while shooting the bull and I noticed it was indexing and raising/lowering much smoother as we went.  Turns out, I had shut our compressors power supply off during the holidays and forgot to turn it back on.

I've always had my pressure regulator at the bottom of the press turned up about 20 psi above the minimum and was having to adjust the index offset to minimize the sometimes rough raises occasionally even though I grease frequently.  Anyway, to make a long story short, I cranked the pressure down to just above minimum and it operates so much smoother.

I don't know if anyone else has had that problem but I thought I'd share.
It's not a job if you love doing it.

I'll give this a try! I was just looking at ours a few weeks ago and wondering why it is so over the recommended line.
