You really need to invest in Find my Font...it's $50 and worth every penny.  Way better than the online font finders.

with schools, you can check their branding guides, but this logo isn't in their guide...

I look at Pitts website and could not find anything as well.

I will send it back to the customer to have them get it drawn.

Also, if you're actually printing the "Pitt", it appears to be a trademark or copyrighted logo, so make sure your custie has the right to use it.
I find that when they have the rights, they usually have the fonts or logo files as well.
If the logo is merely an example of a font they like, then you may have the problem of it being a propietary font of Pitt.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Yeah, this is most likely a custom logo, not a font. You could probably get by with a "close enough" script like Brody or something like that.
