Night Owls is looking for a Production Supervisor!
Night Owls is a Houston, TX based screen printing and promotional products company. We make merchandise and work for some of the coolest bands, artists, and companies currently operating! We are a high quality, detail oriented, water based ink shop, filled with a bunch of people who are passionate about the work that we do and take pride in our ethics and service.

For the last 8 years we’ve been growing our business and are now looking for someone to join our family, and help manage our day to day screen printing production.

This position requires a minimum of 3 years of hands-on screen printing experience. We are looking for a candidate that has in-depth knowledge of screen printing - in production, pre-production, and press operation. Experience with water based ink, specifically, is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. Bonus points if you like to get into the science of screen printing. We work with state of the art equipment and are all about growing our knowledge base, and tools to help continue our growth.

Our production supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to:

• Facilitate weekly print schedules with all managers
• Manage shop employees individual production schedules and assign print jobs to press to ensure print deadlines are met
• Manage and update daily production schedules
• Maintain and manage production spec sheets and notes
• Work with team mates to help manage all press setups, job operations, job maintenance
• Work with team mates to help manage all production equipment maintenance and maintenance schedules
• Manage and maintain a high-level of overall quality. Including pre-press, print quality and quality of equipment
• Maintain high standards of quality including print detail, proper curing, design and color accuracy
• Help in the research and development of new print techniques, products, equipment, suppliers, etc.

This position also requires that you help with employee management tasks, such as:

• Manage print shop and pre-press employees daily duties to achieve necessary balance of production and quality
• Work with an assistant manager to maintain operations in your absence
• Participate in the interview and hiring process of new shop employees
• Perform training and maintain training guidelines for new shop employees
• Participate in necessary trainings to increase job performance
• Work with HR/office staff when employee issues arise

Our ideal candidate is someone who has a positive attitude and enjoys working with others in a hands on work environment. We pride ourselves in our output, and work with state of the art equipment to be able to achieve this level of quality. We are looking for someone who is very detail and task oriented, and has a strong emphasis in communication and leadership.

This is a full time, salaried position, with hours of Monday to Friday from 8-5. This position includes health insurance, paid holidays, sick days, as well as company coffee, lunches, and other treats from time to time! We constantly work to empower our team so training and classes for job advancement are offered as well. Pay is based off of experience.
