Check the link below it is the list of "old school" fonts on dafont. There is probably a dozen or more that will work. My guess would be superstar or athletic.

Agree with Inkman on the fonts. Staubach has the right "L"'s yet the others are closer wit the other letters. Most likely any of those two will work just fine. The slight difference most likely will not be noticed.

Stahls-Varsity-2000 is pretty close as well

Just make sure you make a note to your client that you match the font as close as possible without knowing the actual font name. Usually works every time adding that little note.

Awesome! Thanks guys!

It's for the local junior high school. Nice size order. Want to make sure everything goes perfect.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Search for a font called - Superstar M54 at Dafont.  I just switched to using that font instead of Deusex or Team Numbers for my varsity style font.

I use Yearbook Solid mostly for anything 'athletic'
very similar and another choice if you need one

I think it's Yearbook Solid too; between that and ITC Machine we cover all of our athletic numbering and XXL type, arched top, straight bottom designs.

yep, the A in Superstar has a different top
I think  the image posted is probably Yearbook solid too

Yearbook's good font, just have to play with the "M" sometime because of that center (long) 'v'

Ooh! That yearbook font looks nice. Is it available as a free download anywhere?

Side question, when you folks arch text, what degree are you using? Is there a general rule of thumb?
