I created a shape using the bezier....all nodes are connected and i also did the "weld"....When I select the object to fill it, it wont fill. I can change the outline color but inside the object wont fill.

1 start with your object
2 change the outline to an object
3 break the curve apart
4 you get two filled objects one equal to the outer dimension and one equal to the inner dimension.

I am more inclined to think your object is not closed. Zoom in on your nodes and check them all.
