Drums

For those of you buying white in drums, how are you distributing to press?
Our (actually knowledgeable) rep. mentioned a pump but I think that was for base as opposed to white.

Trying to get away from the growing mountain of empty fives we're building. A lined drum sounds pretty swell.

We use drums and pumps for bases and whites. Canoe paddle helps when you get near the bottom

I visit a printer in London who has 8 automatics, they only use gallons.
They say the hassle and mess with barrels is not worth it.

Weird, we're the exact opposite.

Drums come lined with a plastic bag. And even if it didn't I'd rather clean one drum than eleven buckets.

Don't the liners get sucked in to the pump? I don't have experience with that but remember my old boss complaining about it. Most drums I've delt with were fiber or steel. Either way they are a pita to get the bottom clean, but fiber can be cut in half and scraped clean.

Do you have to clean the containers?
We throw them away dirty.
