Polyester Jacket
« on: October 31, 2016, 02:39:57 PM »
Hey guys, I'm in a pickle here.

We got an order for 100 of these jackets (100% polyester) with a 2 color print (just like the one in the picture). We usually don't do this kind of work in house and sent it out but they're trying to charge me 3 times as much as they normally would "just because".

They don't want to screen print
They don't want to do plastisol transfers
They want to use sublimation blocking vinyl

Worst part is I'm out of the country at the moment, have no chance to talk to suppliers (it's past 6PM our time) and tomorrow's a holiday so have no idea what to do. My staff is being sort of useless on this one and leaving it up to me to figure out on how to proceed.

Any ideas?

Well, Siser Extra is not "Sub Block", but Siser Subli-Block is. Problem is though, that it only comes in White and Yellow. So, if they are really insisting on the red being sub blocking as well it would have to be print and cut material. Really shouldn't be needed though.

His client is insisting on sub block vinyl. As I said, it shouldn't be needed on the red, but it sounds like they had a bad experience with white on the black poly in the past.

I had a really bad exp. on 50 red poly jackets the regular Siser digital print media has worked well on poly in the past but on these red jackets it dye migrated like crazy, jackets were toast so I ordered in some SISER subliblock media and
applied it no bleed at all so far on the test jacket a couple of weeks out , only thing is its only matte Finish
