How many use a Laser System and what is the cost range?

We retrofit our presses with them last year. I think the cost was around $400-$450 per, from M&R.

We use them all the time, but sometimes it's still best to mark the pallets. We tend to use them more for a visual reference of where the logo is, than using it to determan placement or centering.
If you press is moving up and down VS screens up and down, they can be a bit funny to use bc you have to pick whether you want to use them in the up position or down.

We also have them on our heat press. Makes positioning placement a breeze. A must if you're doing any really production. IMO.

we use both the M&R one -AND- the MadeEZ (binkspot) one on our press.

the M&R setup is used for the 'center' line...

the MadeEZ one is typically set to the upper crest location (with the tables up)... since we use the temperature sensor on our flash unit (Red Chili D), we adjust the lasers for table up, and then set the dwell of the press using the 'flash' as the time.

I can build the 4 arm units so it will project the image both up and down the correct location. It has to be an all line to two cross/two line style. The loader would be able to place the garment in the correct location up or down.

Binkspots system. It has saved me so much time especially lining up pockets, speciality and heat press work.
Unbelievable not to have had one for the last 15 years. Get one tomorrow!

We have one similar to Binkspot's (home made) and would not go without it for a second!

4 heads, 2 crosses, 2 lines, 3 red and 1 green. You can move the crosses up and out of the way so only the bottom line is on which makes it act like a plain line only.
ebay lasers in harborfreight stands and one dial indicator stand so we can adjust by turning a knob. very clunky and it took about 10 lasers before we got a semi stable configuration. I have parts for the next generation in the shop and Roger was prototyping a holder that would make the stand work better.
'not sure what the Laser safety regulations are like in Israel, but if you can use 20mW (or more) without glasses I would take advantage of it and have Brian build it with brighter lasers.

I just picked up a cheap AC adapter with variable output. Set it for 3V and was done! I think it was under $10.

Most wall warts are not regulated. Lasers are pretty picky about their power. If you're
killing lasers it's likely your power source. We use a regulated DC power supply per press,
I think they were like $30.

Axiz is the jam for everything you need.

We have the binkspot's on every press mounted to the rafters right above the press so the laser is accurate with the table up or down.
